I had things go bye bye that I can never replace.




But I learned my lesson.  and that is what counts.




 I got me Photobucket for my pictures.  




I have my music stored on an Ipod.  Be it an older one that a friend gave me.




I also bought one of the newer Seagate ultra slim external HDs and has everything important now stored on it.  




But yeah, I am still missing alot of things.  




Some of the mods I use/used have been replaced, some I haven't.  




I can admit to I don't remember Turbo though.

I tend to now seperate mods into folders that pertain to what <abbr title="Colonial Charter">CC</abbr> mod they can be played with.




Hence why the <abbr title="MegaMod">MM</abbr> * 1.0.6 folder and the TFA & 1.0.5 folder.




I already have a stack of papers with notes about load orders, incase some have some kinda confliction of some sort, don't really need extra papers with what mods go with what <abbr title="Colonial Charter">CC</abbr> also  lol

OK, I see what everyone means!  I'm on my third year and so far, everything is stable.  The problem is, I cannot quit!




My family is ready to watch Christmas movies, so I have no choice, but I'm stopping under protest.




I'm just waiting for my population to grow (and I think I built a school too soon)!




 




This is got to be the best $5 I've ever spent.  I'll have to donate once I start using <abbr title="Colonial Charter">CC</abbr> and other mods.

Well if you look at the pictures that show what the 2 folders ( <abbr style="border-bottom:1px dotted;color:rgb(102,102,102);font-family:Tahoma, sans-serif;font-size:13px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;letter-spacing:normal;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px;background-color:rgb(251,251,251);" title="MegaMod">MM</abbr><span> & 1.0.6 folder and the TFA & 1.0.5 folder) have in them you can see one has more in it than the other.  </span>




I do indeed enable them all , they run fine together as long as you follow the proper load order for them .

Load Order really plays a big part when you start getting Red showing up on your list of mods in the game.

Just keep in mind some people can build on large maps others can't  (I am one of those)




Some can get past having 2000 people on their map, others can't  (once again I have not been able to achieve this as of yet)




 




Banished is not made to be able to play like you would do with say Simcity, Anno, etc.   




Although there could possibly be a way to do it I suppose if you really managed your population later in the game.

For the school problem you could wait until they all graduate but if your really in a pinch you can close the school (i.e turning off the work button) and all of the children will imediantly become laborers. 




plus side: you get your workers up quickly and you can fix it if you have been to quick to build a school before your ready (I'm guilty of this a lot of the time)




Down side: all those children will not be educated when they go back to the work force so you end up wasting the time you spent starting their education and still having the problem of uneducated workers.




Things to consider:


  • I only do this when absolutely needed.

  • If you have more than one school they will first move to the other school if it has avalible spaces. If there are not enough spaces they will fill the empty spots and then go to be laborers.

  • A strategy I like to use ,now that its avalible to me, is to build the mini school (holds 5 students ) for early game. This get filled very quickly and then any other children will go directly to laborers. This gives you a pretty good balance of educated and uneducated laborers going into the mix. You end up getting the workers you need to maintain early growth while still having some students being educated and lessening the education gap.
