Williamsburg re-created aka New Williamsburg

I know that *you* didn't. But I know that there's someone reading this that wants both at the same time. /emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" />

Guilty as charged. If it ever gets to the stage where the brick wall is a separate mod, I'll take both types of wall in a heartbeat.

Ok.

Now that the game has chosen to let me play it again, I have made a bit of progress /emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" />

And I would like to share it with you /emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" />

I am calling this re-creation of Williamsburg.... New Williamsburg

The town is gonna have to be changed a slight bit from the picture because I can't take out the Traders River.

So I have to work around it and compensate the best I can.

I have also filled in the lake closest to the Starting area on the map.

So I am covering the giant brown glob with the best thing I can find that matches the actual game grass.

I know it doesn't look all that great but it's the best I can do with what I have (and grateful to have) to work with /emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" />

And here you go....

And this is my template.  I am going to try to match it as close as possible, but there may be variations due to possibly not having the right building style or color.

That's a really interesting way to play the game. I always try to make accurate towns for the time period that are also functional (which is sometimes a challenge) but I've never thought about recreating a real life town. I guess it is a good test of how the game translates to the real world!

It is a shame there is not a mod that makes the river beds the same texture as the ground, because that is going to be a lot of decorative squares once all is said and done.

You got that right!

But I will just have to make do with what I have for now.

Maybe someday someone will make a mod for what you spoke about or just a Ghost Decoration square of it. Well there are ghost tiles in the decorations in mega mod (not sure if they are in stand alone <abbr title="Colonial Charter">CC</abbr> too but it looks like you might already be using them) that mimic the various textures. I find that if I use a lot of decorations it does tend to slow down the game though. There is also a mod out there (it is in mega mod) that makes roads the same color as various textures too, that might be an option for some parts of the map to avoid constant ghost decos.

yeah, I would use the roads but I need to build over the areas that I am having to cover up /emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" title=":(" width="20" />

But thanks for the Suggestion   /emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" />

On second thought

<a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="<___base_url___>/index.php?/profile/5518-necora/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="5518" href="<___base_url___>/index.php?/profile/5518-necora/">@Necora</a> Your suggestion could actually do the trick on this

I am at this moment removing all those Ghost Tiles and I will just build and fill in later as I need to.

Took me a moment to process what you had said there (Have only had 1 cup of coffee so far since I got up almost 5 hours ago).

Thanks for the save /emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" />
