Suggestion/Bug Fix Idea: One sided bridge
#1

I would like to make a suggestion, where bridges are only build from one side, as of now, builders always build from both foundation points. On some maps, for example, Lake Waters, the main river can divide the map completely, making the other side unreachable, so the bridge never gets built.

See problem below in picture:

It looks like you're placing a 3 wide bridge which uses another resource.

I would double check what resources you have as well, so using your town hall, check all your building items against what that bridge needs.  It can't be built without it.

Can you post a screenshot with the bridge build UI for both of them, so we can see the progress for both of them to confirm this please /emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=":)" width="20" />

Like this?

In the first picture, you can see 600 stone, 4 workers on stone bridge and 0% progress, because they can't reach the other side.

On second picture, right after docks (those wooden crossings don't require access from both sides) are built to cross the river, workers can now reach the bridge and start building (early winter in 1st pic, winter in 2nd pic, so they build fast)

That is odd - I've only had problems when I haven't had enough resources (there is a bridge that is 3 tiles wide, needing Lumber, which is why I was checking) - maybe it is at the moment, the only way is to build a super cheap 'disposable' bridge, then build the fancy ones.

I would probably do that anyway in the early game, build the cheapest bridge possible, that way I save resources, then as I have a 'safety net' of resources, or a stone mine etc, then build a larger one that takes longer to build.

What happened when the bridge was the only item to build, without the support (temporary) bridge in place.  Did it build then?  Were your builders too busy?

Moved this to Support because it is more of an issue than a suggestion.
