Installing Patch 1.0.7 Help

Hi, I've just got back into playing banished again and want to play with the Colonial Charter mod. I saw that the beta patch 1.0.7 was required for the mod. I don't have the steam version so I have to install the patch manually. As per the instruction from the dev page (link below) I have unzipped the patch into my banished folder. However when I try to launch Banished I get the Fatal Error message. I'm assuming there is some kind of conflict. I've never modded a game before so I'm probably missing something obvious. Any help resolving this would be appreciated. Thanks Fish.

did you downloaded the patch for the mod kit ? or the game patch ?

Thanks for replying. The game. I reinstalled everything to be sure with the link you gave. Am I literally just extracting the folders into the banished folder? Do I need to create a folder within it or delete any older files?

no you just extract to Banished folder. and it should ask you if you want to replace 8 files and you say yes




if it doesnt ask you... probably not extracting inside the good folder

It seems it is because I have the GOG version of banished. It wasn't asking me to replace files. I was hoping to do it manually but I'm not sure what files need to be deleted as they seem to be named differently.




Below is a screenshot. On the left is my Banished folder and on the right the the patch files that need to be put in instead. Can you tell what files need to be deleted from my Banished folder?

at GOG website: there is not a patch available ? if you resend your key to GOG, can't you have a beta version ?




what do you have in the x64 folder ?




 




also if you ask on worldofbanished.com maybe someone who is with GOG can help you

No worries, thanks for your help anyway Ketchup. Doesn't look like there is a beta available at GOG. I'll ask over at Worldofbanished but if no one can help I'll just use <abbr title="Colonial Charter">CC</abbr> 1.6 until 1.0.7 is released officially.
