Let us not give up hope!  Instead, let us negotiate and pay him a sum for the source code.  Then the talented coders here can add multi-core support, integrated <abbr title="Colonial Charter">CC</abbr> and <abbr title="MegaMod">MM</abbr> into the base game, and all manner of other wonderful things.

I don't think Forest Village will ever have the following Banished has.  However, I understand that they now allow mods.  Maybe if they get someone producing mods of the quality done here and by the modders at WorldofBanished, they would have a chance.

Towns had quite the following when it was actively being developed and now the fanbase has moved onto Banished. Since Banished is no longer being developed while Forest Village is, I can see the Banished fanbase moving on within a year, possibly longer if modders keep improving Banished in the meantime and don't switch to Forest Village. FYI, I don't have Forest Village yet.
