no the game doesnt matter. the toolkit is totally independant

Well, there goes that last ditch idea, then.
BIOS-disabled the integrated gpu. It took a few more seconds to fail, this time! Not sure if that's progress.
I guess it's time to give up. My computer is obviously whack.
