Logs are one of the most important materials in Banished. Everyone loves a log.




Logs are produced by Foresters, and Laborers who have been asked to clear trees. They also can be obtained from the Logging Barge.




Logs have many uses:

• Construction
  : Logs are used in construction of many buildings, bridges and docks.
  
  
• Firewood
  : The Woodcutter and Wood Chopper, Sawmill and Watermill make Firewood from Logs.
  
  
• Tools
  : All types of tools made by the Blacksmith, Foundry, etc., require Logs
  
  
• Fuel
  : The Stacks Burner can turn Logs into Charcoal. The Smokehouse uses Logs to make a variety of smoked foods.
  
  
• Lumber
  :  The Sawpit, Sawmill and Waterwheel Sawmill uses Logs to make Lumber.
  
  
• Furniture
  :  The Joiner makes Furniture from Logs.
  
  
• Barrels, Crates
  : The Cooper needs Logs.
  
  
• Wood Statues
  :  The Statue Carver uses Logs to make Wood Statues.
  
  
• Building Supplies
  : The Building Supplier uses Logs to make some types of Building Supplies
