The Iron & Coal Mine is a surface mine that extracts Iron Ore and coal from the ground. Once apparently exhausted, it can be consolidated and upgraded into a Deep Iron & Coal Mine using logs and candles in order to gain access to more resources.
The basic Iron & Coal Mine will leave an abandoned building that can't be removed if destroyed directly (or a water-filled pit if the upgrade is interrupted mid-way and destroyed before being done), but if it has been upgraded the land can be reclaimed after removal of the mine.
