Salt is a mineral and is one of the oldest and most common food seasonings. It is found in seawater and dried up ancient sea beds. Salting is an important way to preserve food.




Salt is produced by the Saltworks and the Stone and Salt Mine and is used to make various foods:




Uses:


  • It is used by the Saltinghouse to produce a variety of meat and cheese products.

  • Salt is also used by the Preservist to make Pickled Eggs and Potted Meats.

  • The Pub Kitchen uses Salt + Pork to make Pub Meals
