Lonetoe
#5

Mysteriously, the inhabitants of Lonetoe and all of their buildings disappeared over night. A scouting party found nothing but some discarded cider casks and a half empty basket of hemp. No one quite knows what happened. So instead of being discouraged by this disappearance, the landing party thought 'eh' and the settlement of Luxillian was born.

(I broke Lonetoe with non save game updates to my mods, but really liked the map. This time it a name I came up with, from a town of similar spelling in Cornwall).

14 years passed since the founding of Luxillian, and growth has been tremendous. Each family has a home, but recently the elderly started to pass away more frequently and town expansion began to halt. As houses became abandoned, the town decided it is a good as time as any to tear down the aging, smaller homes and replace them with something a little larger. Fur trade is booming, the trading posts are so full of fur they are struggling to get rid of it, and empty trade boats of much needed food each year. A new trading dock seems to be a necessity. Luxillian has certainly build an export economy from textiles, with fur, pelts, leather, and linen being major exports in exchange for food, which has recently become more limited. With this extra money, the renovation of the town will include a nice fresh coat of paint and some colours, and also an expansion down into the lakes for access to deep water for a bigger dock, and onward to the open ocean for its bounty to solve ever present threat of food shortages.

Luxillian, an overview of the original settlement.

The settlement of west river sprouted up near the mine and quarry, and gave access to maple forests on the far western slopes of the Lux Valley.
