Thank you for updating this wonderful mod after all these years. Thought I'd double check and ask anyway can I upgrade to Megamod 9 from Megamod 8 mid playthrough or is there too many changes for that to be viable?

There's way too many changes between 8 and 9. Some people run into issues with different builds of MM9 that are just a few weeks apart.
