Log Cabins especially look nice in a forest setting. These models were created by Ragingnonsense for a mod. He has given us the models and code to use since he has retired from modding.

They house one family of five and are slightly warmer than a wooden house. They also store the same amount of goods as a wooden house. There are several variations for this house; use the “F” key to select the one you want to use.

They may be upgraded to a Large Log Cabin.

Looks good. If you want to add more, go for it. Make sure they're from 1.7 (because a few buildings were changed), but you can add as many as you want.

i switched from <abbr title="Colonial Charter">CC</abbr> to modulars. have both the cabin and the frontier mod that includes cabins. my cabins are more gray now than brown.
