Gold is a bright yellow precious metal.
It is extracted from Gold Ore by the Forge and Foundry. (Gold Ore is produced by the Precious Mine and the Placer Mine.)
The Metalsmith uses Gold to mint Gold Guilders.

I have not tried the Metalsmith, yet, to make Gold Guilders, as my Melting House does a good job. However, there is no option to make Gold using the Forge or Foundry. Silver works though.
